THAWTE VERIFICATION PROCESS
After buying an SSL Certificate form us, you must take an additional 4 steps in order to successfully complete your Digital Cert Enrollment.
1.
Generate a Public/Private Key - You can do this from the control panel if you already have web hosting through ONEHOST. If you have a hosting account with another web hosting provider, you will need to contact them in regards to generating a Public Key/Private key.
As soon as you get your Private Key, please put it in a safe place. Private Keys are only provided to the owner of the Digital Cert to ensure a higher level of security.

Send Information to Thawte - You will now need to send info to Thawte for verification purposes. You can do this from the hosting control panel:
- Go to the control panel and login and choose the domain name for which you have ordered an SSL Cert.
- To view the SSL Cert, simply click on 'Enroll Certificate'.
- Submit the information asked for verification, and then click 'Enroll'.

When you've finished enrollment of your new SSL Certificate, Thawte will then contact and request some information from the corporate/technical contact.

After all requested information is received, reviewed and verfified; Thawte will then issue you the digital certificate. To check the status of your SSL Certificate, click on 'check certificate status' in the client control panel. The length of time it takes for all of this to happen could be anywhere from minutes to weeks depending on the type of certificate you choose.
